I'm going to have to do several posts to get in everything I want to write about the trip, so bear with me. It might just be spread over several days, and I'm going to try to blend it in with my normal posts.

Traveling To New Orleans, Day 1 of the Cruise
____________________________________________________
We loaded up everything and took Hardy to Superman and Wonderwoman's house in Hattiesburg Friday. Yes, Superman and Wonderwoman's house.
Perhaps I should explain.
A couple of years back, my husband's brother asked their parents what they wanted grandchildren to call them when we all started to have kids. My father in law, serious as a heart attack, looked at him and said, “Well I want to be called Superman. And she'll be Wonderwoman.”
So it stuck. Now anytime we mention Superman or Wonderwoman around our house, Hardy freaks out and starts looking for his leash to go see them.
We stayed in Hattiesburg Friday night, and hit the dusty trail early Saturday to catch the boat in New Orleans. We set sail around 5pm Saturday, and we were on our way!
I have never seen a view of New Orleans like what we saw on the boat! I also had no idea that New Orleans is like 2-3 hours up the Mississippi River from the actual Gulf of Mexico, so we saw some really interesting parts of Louisiana throughout that night.
Our room was actually really nice! We had this HUGE opening in front of the portholes (which Noah is laughing at in the picture of them below) that let us store our luggage, so we had tons of space. And that bed you see…is the most comfortable bed in the world. Ever.
Our strange artwork light in the room.
Right before heading to dinner the first night.
Every night when you get back from dinner, your covers are turned down for you, all of your information for the next day is on your bed, and you have a towel animal next to your information. This one is a walrus (we think?). This is the only one we weren't 100% sure on.
I would do the next day in this post, but it is pretty interesting and will proably take a while to explain (just FYI – Noah became famous on the ship that day). I'll write about that one tomorrow!
