So obviously, I live in an area that revolves around football in the fall. I am not exaggerating that in the least. People that are from Tuscaloosa plan half of their weeks in the fall around football. Even if they aren’t into it. You have to rethink traffic, go to the grocery store early in the week, even have “date nights” on weeknights because it’s just not possible to do all of these normal things on home game weekends without having hours of headaches.
I’m not complaining, because I do love football. But can you think of one pastime that completely encompasses your life for 4 months of the year that you’re not sick of by the end of it? Didn’t think so.
I’m ready for it right now though. 🙂
Here are some of my favorite pictures from football season!
I think this was Mississippi State? I know it was 2006 (only because it was in my fall 2006 picture folder).
First game of 2007. I was a little stressed at this point…we were getting married 3 months after this was taken. 🙂
This was the day of one of our wedding showers! We actually had a wedding shower on the quad, during tailgating…too cool!
And this is one of my BEST friends…Abbie just moved to Birmingham after college and is teaching 2nd grade!
And last, but not least, Auburn last year…we sold my tickets because they were making a KILLING the week before the week before the game. I’m glad we did, because it was misting and cold and just plain miserable outside. We watched the game at a place on the strip and had much more fun!
***Updated: How could I forget the SEC championship? I mean really? Granted, we lost, but I went to an SEC championship and had THESE seats!!
I was a student at the time, and one of the advantages of being a six year senior (ahem) was getting some pretty awesome seats. Noah was sick at the time, but besides that and the BITTER cold (it was like 30 degrees outside, which is cold for us Southern folk) it was fun…you know, expect for the getting-your-butt-handed-to-you-by-Tim-Tebow part.
So now, on to this year…
We have the biggest game this weekend! So exciting!
ROOLLLLL TIDE ROLL!!!
