I’ve mentioned before that Noah and I have had our kids’ names picked out since like two weeks into the relationship. It was just one of those things where when you know, you know…and we’re both major planners!
For a boy…
Noah actually picked the name Jackson before we started dating, and has several different meanings for us. Noah spent a good bit of his childhood in Mississippi. Our first date was to see Walk the Line, and obviously that was a big song in a Johnny Cash movie. And I just love the name! It’s a strong name, it has a Southern edge to it, but it still sounds cute for a little boy. I just think it’s perfect! Lee is Noah’s middle name and his dad’s middle name. I’m really big on family names (you’ll see in a minute), so that one was a no brainer.
For a girl…
I haven’t decided if I want this to be a double name (which I adore, by the way), or if I just want Emma. This is a total family name. My maternal grandmother’s first name is Emma, and my paternal grandmother’s maiden name is Ramey (and it’s my dad’s middle name). I LOVE the name Emma. It’s so feminine, and is pretty for a baby, a little girl, or a woman. Like I said, I love double names too, but I don’t know if the Ramey will stick, so we’ll see what works with that!
