Ok, I’m going to have to break this down into a few parts…just too much for one post!
Alaska was absolutely, wildly incredible…we want to move there now! Not seriously, our parents would kill us, but it’s one of those “if a million dollars ever falls into our laps” kinds of things.
We left from Seattle last Tuesday. We didn’t see much of it, but Seattle seems like a pretty cool town. Everything was very clean and new, and really hip (like Starbucks kind of hip…makes sense, right?). We went straight from the airport to the ship though, so like I said, not much to report.
Our ship was beautiful. It was a fairly new one, and looked like the Titanic on the inside!
So, naturally, we started stuffing our faces like 10 seconds after getting on the boat…
…and pretty much didn’t stop, umm, the whole week. We averaged it up yesterday, and we were eating 6 meals a day. Seriously.
The second day was the day at sea. So not much happened honestly. The weather was beautiful…
and it was our formal night. AWESOME food. It was fun!
The second full day was my FAVORITE day of the whole cruise. We toured a fjord (which is a valley carved out by a glacier, then filled with water) where we saw two BEAUTIFUL glaciers!
We hung out in our room most of the day, since we had a balcony (by the way…the balcony on this trip? WORTH EVERY PENNY!). We got room service…
(and we’re not going to mention the second breakfast this day)
and just hung out! It was so awesome!
One of the many videos I got of the glacier! Excuse my terrible videoing abilities.
…and we can’t forget the towel animals on the boat. 🙂 One of my favorite parts.
To be continued!
