As I get older, health becomes more and more of a focus. When I was younger, my main focus was to look healthy…healthy weight, healthy skin, healthy hair. But now, I actually want to feel healthy – and I think there can sometimes be a big difference between those two.
Life can be busy, but there are certain things I do to stay at my best no matter how little time I might have. There are several steps I’ve taken in the past couple of years to not only look my best, but to be my most healthy. They include…
1. Drinking water – This is so huge in making me look, feel, and actually be healthy. I try for 6-8 glasses a day. Of course, that number was higher when I was pregnant. Drinking water goes so far for making me look and feel my best. It provides everything from skin health to energy.
2. Relaxing – I don’t think I realized the importance of this one until a year or two ago. Stress takes a big toll on me, both emotionally and physically. I can always “feel” stress in my back and joints. Simply taking some “me” time and relaxing makes me feel so much better!
3. Getting up and moving! – Doesn’t a little bit of exercise each day just make you feel better? I know it helps me. When we can (and when it’s not 1000 degrees in Alabama), Emma Ramey and I try to take a walk in the mornings. I love getting some endorphins going with a walk. It improves my energy level all day!
4. Eating the right things – Even though watching calories is important for your health, I think there also needs to be a focus on eating the right things. Of course, this includes a balanced diet. But it also includes things that help you function at your best.
Probiotics, like the Probiotic Pearls, are a perfect example. This is a product that keeps your digestive system functioning at its best. This supplement releases live probiotics (a.k.a. good bacteria) into your digestive system to support your immune system and digestive balance/health. Pearls can also prevent digestive problems.
Probiotic Pearls are a small, easy-to-take supplement that get probiotics where you need them to help you the most! No matter how busy you get, it’s so easy to take a few seconds out of your day to not only ensure digestive health, but ward off digestive problems before they start.
I’ve always felt that you need to take care of you before you can take care of anyone else. Lives are busy, and time is precious, but your health is so important to you and everyone around you…make sure you protect it!
