Hi from Alabama!
We’re here for a few days celebrating Christmas with family and getting things together to move out our house (more on that below). It’s been a pretty busy 72 hours, and it won’t be slowing down anytime soon!
Saturday night, we had Christmas with Noah’s mom’s side of the family. It’s always SUCH a fun time – everybody has a blast! There are lots of little kids on that side of the family now, so it was a whole new kind of fun this year with watching them play.
Emma Ramey and two of her cousins praying before eating…are they not the cutest??
Of course, there was lots of eating done too. This girl likes appetizers for dinner as much as her mom! 🙂
There were a ton of presents opened…
…and time with the great grandmothers. We had a great time!
As of yesterday, Emma Ramey and I are here. Noah will join us as soon as he gets out of work tomorrow.
Ok, so those stocking I’ve gone on and on about forever? They are DONE!! I finished these three up last night.
I really wanted to have an heirloom holiday item for everyone in the family. I’m so happy with how they turned out. It’s so special to see these hanging in our old house for one last year…especially since this is the only decoration that made it up in the house this year. 😉
And no, I don’t have one yet…I’m aiming to have it done by next year (and yes, it takes all of a year to finish one…think LONG and hard before trying to make one of these. They are insanely time-consuming, but gorgeous and worth it!)
Today has been focused on getting our house packed. We still haven’t sold this house, but we’re getting a temporary place of our own in Mississippi after the new year, just until we can sell this house and find a permanent place.
Let me tell you – packing with a toddler is no joke. I’m pretty sure she was pulling out things as fast as I could pack them this morning. But I’ve made a little progress during nap time!
Happy Christmas Eve-Eve! 🙂 Hope your past few days have been just as crazy and busy and fun as ours have been.
