Hey friends! I’m Leslie.
I’m from Tuscaloosa, Alabama. I attended the University of Alabama, where I met my husband Noah. We were married on December 8, 2007. We recently moved to south Mississippi with our 2 kids (Emmie, 4, and Jackson, 1) and our beagle (Hardy).
I started this blog in 2009 to document our lives. I read a few other blogs at that point, and just thought it would be a fun experiment for us to look back on later. Since that time, we’ve had struggles and celebrations, both in our professional and personal lives. It hasn’t always been easy, but it brought us to where we are today, and I couldn’t be more thankful for that…life is very, very good right now!
I was a 1st grade teacher for 3 years at what I call my dream teaching job. I worked with the best students and teachers around, and I couldn’t be more thankful for the experience. When Emma Ramey was born, I transitioned into a stay-at-home-mom. This has been my dream for years, and I can’t believe it’s finally here! I like to document the experience here, with its ups and downs.
On this blog, you’ll find snippets of our everyday life, recipes from my kitchen, random creative ideas, favorite products, stories about our family, blogging trials and tribulations, and celebrations, both big and small. It’s really just a big hodgepodge of my passions. I don’t share everything about our lives on here…instead, I choose to use this platform as a way to share/preserve memories of both major life milestones and treasured everyday happenings.
I love seafood, sushi, a great cup of coffee, having a clean house (even though that doesn’t happen very much anymore), dates with my husband, a good glass of wine, Alabama football, Christmas, Diet Coke, and finding a good deal. I also like my husband just a little, and seeing my babies laugh is probably the greatest thing that’s ever happened.
